Located on the second floor of the Downes/Williams complex on the north end of the Long Walk of Trinity College, the SSC is a room with high ceilings and space to curl up and read or work in small groups with other students. The room is near the Economics and Political Science Departments, and has two dual-boot (Mac and PC) computers connected to the Trinity network, loaded with the standard lab software. The room also has wifi, so bring your laptop!
The space where the SSC resides was once the original library for the College. We no longer have the books, but we still have the space! Students who come to the SSC are looking for a quiet place to study, other social science students to work with, or assistance gathering or interpreting social science data in a space that invites both quite and collaboration. The SSC is open during regular weekday work hours (aprox 7:30 am to 6:00 pm).
